Testimonials

"Thanks for sending the NiE Go Zone Juniors. Absolutely delightful. Please can you forward another 20 copies of this issue and also increase our number to 50. We want to extend our programme in this as it is just so relevant to their needs."
- Elizabeth McKenzie, Oamaru North School

"We think the learning papers are fantastic. My children, 4, 6 and 7 look forward to receiving them and are always excited by the contents. They are fun to do (which is the main thing for us), cleverly laid out, and have excellent competitions each issue as well. I cannot imagine not having them to learn from."
- Kelly Greenhalgh, Homeschooler, Hobsonville

"The Year 4 classes at King’s School have been using Go Zone regularly for several years. Our boys eagerly await the newspapers and thoroughly enjoy the activities in them. They learn a lot from them and have great fun in the process! The support material we receive is helpful and knowing the topics for the year gives us the ability to integrate units. We find NiE a great resource to add to our reading, writing and topic study programmes."
- Suzanne Sinclair, King’s School, Remuera

"Finished our study on Spiders and the students absolutely LOVED the newspaper! In fact the study continued for much longer than anticipated -so much info and so inspiring for them to learn."  - Gillian Kneebone, St Peters Catholic School, Cambridge.

"We use NiE across our Year 4-8 classes and find it a successful & exciting resource. It supplements our daily reading programmes & the students all love having their own interesting, colourful & challenging magazine. We include the cost in our stationary & present it to parents at the 'meet the teacher' evenings. They are really supportive about these too. Sometimes it is used for homework tasks & sometimes it is given to our CRT teacher to work through with the class. Often times we have built whole units of work lasting weeks around these resources. Our students also love the competitions & have won a number of prizes. Teacher resources are well set out & easy to follow."
- Rebecca Norrish, Maraetai Beach School, Auckland

"Thanks for the wonderful material this year. It is a good source of relevant information that fits a niche in the non-fiction area of the reading programme."
- Kay Masters, Grant Braes School, Dunedin

"We use NiE in all our Year 7-8 classes as part of our integrated programme. They are a wonderful resource to supplement many of our curriculum areas — authentic contexts to use with students, challenging discussion starters on current issues, and easy to adapt to our higher order thinking focus this year. They are an excellent resource to highlight key times, e.g Māori Language Week, the Elections, Commonwealth Games, Conservation Week. We love them."
- Julie Schumacher, Baradene College, Auckland

"Zoned In is an attractively presented and exciting addition to my Year 10's newspaper study. The content stimulates discussion at a thoughtful level and gives many opportunities for individual student research."
- Karen Leuschke, St Cuthbert's School, Auckland

"The Waikato Times newspaper and the NiE Zoned In resource is particularly important for many of my students because it's their only exposure to current events. They are not watching the news on television or listening to any radio bulletins, so NiE is it!"
- Mo Kalam, HOD Social Sciences, Opotiki College
